However, when I try to play the movie it does have audio. What can the problem be?
The popup error message is:
"Cannot open file for audio demux outpuy. Aborting..."
I have done this converting several times without problems.
I can also see that there is an audio track in AutoGK window and the tic box is default checked. When I untic the box the conversion works just fine.
Any suggestion?

What happens if you select VTS_02_1.VOB (the others will appended automatically) and start converting.

First I tried with "VTS_01_0.IFO", which normally works fine for most of my DVD´s. This time it gave me the message "Several PRCs were found in the IFO file. Please select..." but none of the options available worked, they were only short parts, about 13 min long, all with wrong audio language.
Then I tried with "VTS_02_0.IFO" and correct audio showed up in the list and the length also was OK, about 1h21m. But when I then started the job the error message turned up, as described earlier.
But when I unticked the audio track I could convert the DVD into DivX, but of course, without audio...
When I tried your suggestion, "VTS_02_1.VOB", I have the same error popup window, "Cannot open file for audio demux output. Aborting..."
I just can´t understand why I have problem with this specific DVD, all other worked just fine.

If you have it converted (without the audio) you can demux the audio from the DVD folder with the likes of PgcDemux then add it to the AVI using Avi-Mux GUI.
Very fast.

OK, thanks. I will look into this very soon. It sounds like a good workaround.
BTW, any clue what can be the problem with my "standard" DivX conversion attempt?

I am using AutoGK v2.55 and I think this is the latest version.
I am converting an .iso of the original DVD so all files should be there. And when I am playing the DVD it has audio in the desired language (Swedish).
Thanks for the suggestion of another converter, but I am perhaps to lazy to try this alternative. Since AutoGK works just fine for all other conversions I´ll stay to that program, at least until I bump into a second conversion ending up in the same problem.

I have solved the problem!
I changed the original output file name from:
C:\Users\Erik och Lotta\Videos\Astrid.Lindgren.Collectors.Box.BOXSET.25DISC.PAL.DVDR-MiX\14. Kalle.Blomkvist.Masterdetektiven.Lever.Farligt.1996.SWEDISH.PAL.DVDR-BBDvDR\Kalle Blomkvist - Mästerdetektiven lever farligt [1996].avi
to the following:
C:\Users\Erik och Lotta\Videos\Astrid.Lindgren.Collectors.Box.BOXSET.25DISC.PAL.DVDR-MiX\14. Kalle.Blomkvist.Masterdetektiven.Lever.Farligt.1996.SWEDISH.PAL.DVDR-BBDvDR\Kalle Blomkvist [1996].avi
And now it works. You may think the problem is solved by removing the word containing the letter "ä" but that is not true. I have made several successful conversions using that letter. No, my guess is that it is the path length that is the problem, or the "-" but I have not verified it.
However, it is very strange that when I removed (unticked) the audio it worked with the longer path. No, this is indeed very strange but I am happy it works now.
Thanks attar for your support anyway.

I had noted the length of the path - but I had never seen a reference to either path length or file name causing a problem with AutoGK.
Once more assuming something will turn around and bite you.
Thank you for the feedback.
