I like to burn divx/xvid files onto blank dvds to use with my Toshiba dvd player. Starting yesterday, any data disc I burn will not be read by the dvd player. The dvd player will read discs burned before yesterday same as ever. I successfully burned a couple of dvds and cds, they burned and played without issue. It's only the data dvds.
I use Nero 7 to burn, and it claims the burn is successful. The data discs do play on my pc.
Any ideas?
For what it's worth, I haven't changed any software/hardware on my pc, and haven't tinkered with any settings in Nero.

could be a problem with your dvd players laser???could be a problem with the divx files??could be a problem with your burner???.try playing them on another dvd player and see if they work.If they work you know its your dvd player.if your computer has a virus or errors in the divx files it could stop them from working.try using a different brand of blank disk.could be your dvd player wont read that brand.try burning them at a slower speed.

custom built gaming pc from early 2010,ps2 with 15 games all original,ps3 500gbs with 5 games all original, yamaha amp and 5.1channel surround sound speakers,46inch sony lcd smart tv.

Thanks for the response. I've tried 3 different brands of disc, I've gotten the files to play on other players, and I do burn at the lowest speed every time. So I am leaning towards it being the burner.

The lowest speed is not recommended.
For 16x media,
8x or 12x is better.
