Hi, i've been trying to no avail to find a good comparison of ps2 modchips currently available, so here I am asking the obvious question:

What is the best one on the market today? I am currently shopping for one, so I would greatly appreciate detailed answers rather than "X is best, i have it" :)

I am a fan of swap magic. If you have a slim PS2 that is made before march of 2008, you should look into making an exploited memory card by installing Free Mcboot. Now you can boot games from the memory card without using a modchip or swap magic.

Does this card boot all the newest games ? If it does you can't beat the price it retails for $14.00

The chips are not that old so yes it boots all games no prob i can certainly vouch for that side of things,can't remember if it boots RW media or not,one of my ps2's can but both have differing chips,the only downside to the core duo 3 is it won't play dvd movies unless there's new firmware out for it

Thanks for the input booting all games is all I care about I have plenty of dvd players around lol will order a chip today and see how it goes the price on these is great again thanks
