I've read through many threads though most point to backup loading, etc. I have a Japanese slim PS2 and play Biohazard Outbreak on it. However, the game has a Data Install option which reduces load times by two thirds. I'd like to use this option again, though obviously one must have a PS2 HDD. I tried connecting an external all though the option does not show up. Is there a program I'd need for it to recognize it, or since it is an official HDD option will it never work? I have Action Replay and a USB thumb drive and HDD, so perhaps I could use the media manager to load a file? Thanks for any help.

It MIGHT work with XCM hdconnect or something like that, but installing to a USB hard drive would actualy slow the game down, as the PS2 DVD drive is a lot faster than those slow USB1.1 ports.
