Ok I'm going to list everything i got and lets see if you guys can work your magic.

A Fat Ps2 with a PS2 formatted HDD
A fried motherboard ( comp tower not working at all so i cant use WinHiip )
A Exploited memory card with all the goods on it ( HD Loader, ESR etc etc )
A 4GB USB flash Drive
15 DVD+R dual layer discs
A few ethernet cords
A Wireless Router
A Kid thats hoping to be surprised for his birthday :-)
A Netbook with windows 7 ( yeah i know )
Some old gift cards
And Ill be broke for a while ( no cash whats so ever lol )

Is there anyway I can get working games on my HDD with what I got? Or is there anyway my fat ps2 cang play a dual layered disc with a normal sized ( 4GB or less ) burned game?

Oh and the only reason I havent tried cogswap is cause im not sure if the dual layered dvds would work.

Any help on this will be much appreciated by us.

Oh and if the Dual Layered DVDs work, is there a way i can put more than one game on them.. otherwise thats wasted memory

Yes your FAT PS2 should read Dual Layered discs as long as the laser is in good shape.

I have compiled a few games onto one DVD, but can't say I ever tried it on a dual layer disc.

The dual layer discs are good to back up DVD9 PS2 games though.

There is tutorials in this thread on compiling Multi Disc

You have to go through the first few pages for all the info, and perhaps check the last few pages.

Not sure what all capabilities your Netbook has, or I would suggest an external USB drive that you could connect your PS2 hdd too and use Winhiip that way.
You could also just use hdl server and hdl dump to copy games to PS2 hdd. It is slow but it works.

Or just use an external USB drive to store games on and use OPL (Open PS2 Loader) v0.7 to play games.

The games can be installed using USBUTIL v2

So theres a few options for you, and hopefully surprise a kid for his birthday.

Just wondering ... is there a way to transfer games from flash drive to hard drive within the ps2?
