Hey everyone. Just wanted to know if anyone could explain to a complete n00b how to install free mc boot, tell me what it can do.will this program work if i have a 4 year old modchip installed n my PS2?

So you have a modchip, and with that modchip you can play backups right?

Is using a Hard Drive to run Games a good idea? I read that it slows down Loading Times because of the USB 1.1. Is this True? The reason i want to use the Hard Drive is because my Laser's going, and i don't want to replace it.

Using your modchip while you can to boot backups is probably your best bet. Since you'd be forced to use a USB HDD because of your slimline, you'll be looking at a lot of compatibility issues + sometimes slower loading times.

If i replace the Laser, will i have to replace the Chip aswell? (Is the Chip located on the Motherboard or the Laser?)

Not at all. The chip is on the motherboard, replacing the laser will be just fine :)
