I have a old Fat PS2. Version 7 I believe. I did the flip top w/ swap magic 3 mod and I have zero problems playing backup PS2 games. I've had this PS2 modded for about 4 years now and have played close to 100 backup PS2 games with zero issues.
I have a friend at work, who has 2 XBOX 360's. One he uses to play backups and one to play on-line. He wants to trade the one that plays backups for my modded PS2, but only if I can get it to play backup PS1 games.
I really want this XBOX360. I already went check it out at his house and he's dead serious about trading. He loves the old Final Fantasy and RPG games for the PS1.
I know I have to get a PS1 memory card, but that's only $1 on ebay. What else do I need? I heard Gameshark,Action Replay, or Breaker Pro.
Will I have to use my swap magic disc in the process of backing up the PS1 game?
Also, would I burn these to a CD or DVD? Either way is ok.
ANY gameshark will work. Just put it in, select ANY game, then press "load" after swapping. This will load any PS1 game, and you can even load cheats if you want to.
