i have a ps2 slim scph 90001 i want to play games from hdd i have segate 320 gb portable extertnal hard drive so please help me

tel me the date code below you ps2...if it is 8c then you cant....
coz sony changed the BIOS coz of which the memory card exploit wont work coz of which you cant boot up apps to run games from a n external hd....

using pendrives and portable hdds are not recommended coz they are usb powered and you will experience extreme lag...externally powered hdds are recommended.....

You can play from your external drive. Once you have soft-modded your ps2, you can get a program called OpenPS2Loader 0.7. This program can load games off of an external usb source (flash drive, hdd), and from over a network.

It would take me a long time to explain, but i know of a tutorial.

In short, you connect your ps2 to your computer with an ethernet crossover cable (or wireless router) and set up a network between your ps2 and a folder on your computer with your games in it.
