I am desperate to play Crash Bandicoot game which originally was made for PS1 on PS2 game console. I have read a lot of "guidelines" and advices but lots of things just don't make sense for me as I don't know much about computers, especially consoles. I mean all those "ps 1 back-ups"(???), breaker pro and other stuff people mention don't make sense for me. What is V8 for instance? I need more in depth instructions on how do I start with just ps1 cd and PS2 console.. I know nothing about any other tricks!
The model I have is PS2 SCPH-39004. That's all I know..
Could you also tell me please, perhaps it will be easier for me to try and play ps1 game on a pc? Although if I can make PS1 game work on PS2 console relatively easy I would prefer that because of the controllers for PS!
I will be extremely grateful for any help and I hope to hearing from you soon!

Thank you a lot again!!
You can play a Normal or Original PS1 game , which is a purchased PS1 game on any PS2 You still need too use your PS1 memory card though to be able to save progress.
So the PS1 backup, that I mention is when you make a copy of your PS1 Original game into a .bin and .cue file, or if using Alcohol 120 you get a .mdf and .mds file
You then burn that .bin file with either imgburn (google it, its free) or with Alcohol 120
