Hello,
I have a PS2 7000 series (SCPH 70006, NTSC/J) that was modded for backup games. I bought it in 2005 January and used it without any problems till 2008 when suddenly the game I was playing restarted and nothing came up on the screen. It looks as if the console is trying to refresh itself without showing the "Sony Computer Entertainment" splash screen. (On the top of the screen a number of small lines can be seen appearing and disappearing).
I disassembled it, removed the modchip and tested the fuses and except for four, (I could not locate PS9, PS10, PS12 and PS16) all others were OK. Has anyone encountered a similar problem, or does anyone know what I can do to fix it? The motherboard is GH 035 21
