PS2 disk not spinning NOT FAULTY LASER!!!!!

Hi....I have a modded slimline ps2 and I have replaced the entire laser / carriage ass'y.
Now, the disk does not spin at all.
I did the modding a couple of years ago and the ps2 has been fine although i have changed the laser a few times since....
This fault has only occured after changing the laser ass'y this time.
I have tried a whole laser carriage ass'y out of a known good working ps2 and it does exactly the same so it is NOT due to the laser not focussing.
I have put the original ass'y which does not spin onto the known good working ps2 mobo and it does spin up.
This proves that it is something on the original non working ps2 mobo that is at fault i.e. maybe a fuse blown.
Is there a fuse for spinning up the disk motor? OR DOES ANYONE KNOW WHATS WRONG?
I have to own up and say that i forgot to desolder the 3 connections on the laser before I powered it up....I have since done this desoldering

Check for a loose connection at the MOBO-maybe the laser ribbon isn't seated good
On the spindle motor is a tiny sensor (switch) check that it is not stuck.
to answer your question about the fuse-yes it has a fuse (ICP) for the spindle motor

sorry .....forgot to mention that i have also changed the ribbon cable that goes to the laser....fault still on.

the "ICP" fuse?......which fuse is this I thought they were numbered PS1...PS2....PS3 etc....?

Sorry it took so long to get back on this.
ICP, intergrated circuit protection-same as Fuse, just tiny.
Usually, you can follow the ribbon to the MOBO and the ICP for the motor is located nearby. Just check them with a DVOM.
Also, try checking your modchip, it may be causing your problem
