okay so i want to give my little cousin my old fat ps2! i havent played it in agess (got ps3 :D:D) and i know its hard modded, but it was hard modded by some indians in saudi arabia when i used to live there... (im serbian btw!). Anyways, this mod worked but i remember having some problems with it, like with some games id have to restart it a few times and shit! My cousin is not quite as intelligent with playstations or anything technical so i was wondering if i could soft mod this ps2 to work perfectly and if i can then how? please give me a quick reply!!! thank you sooooo much!!
If your PS2 is hard-modded, why would you ever want to downgrade to soft-modding? You have to keep restarting the console because your PS2 is telling you the laser is struggling to read burnt disc and is going to go out pretty soon.
Back in my modding day, exploits consists of 15-20 steps, had to be done manually and the whole process took no less than 40 minutes to complete. Nowadays, there's plenty of spoon-fed programs/exploit that will hack your console almost instantly. Don't know if it's still around but look for the uLaunch image file, burn it to a disc and launch it using your modded PS2. Download and transfer a file called FMCB to a flash drive, stick it into your PS2 USB port and use uLaunch to install FMCB onto your memory card.
