Shame I can't reply to it because it's over 60 days old. Also shame that PS2 is so old that it's hard to find a mod service place (they're all advertising PS3 and 360 latest consoles now).

So am wondering if there's any other way to boot HDLoader or HDAdvance?

PS: Am curious. Why is HDLoader and HDAdvance free on this website... where other sites we have to BUY?

If I BUY the REAL HDAdvance CD/DVDs then can it boot without modchip or swap magic?

HD Loader and HD Advance both load games off the HDD, the comptability list of each of them is below

Yes you can boot up using any of the original discs, unless you have swap magic and want to boot off HD Loader or HD Advance of a burned disc.
