the picture/graphics suck when using my ps2(slim) on my vizio hd tv,what can i do ?

I'd try a new cable. I have the same tv and mine was kind of static till I did that. before you try a new one hook the system direct to the tv my slim didnt like being hooked through my vcr ether if its clear and not static its probably as good as it will get. You should be able to get the same quality picture as on a regular tv but you wont get high def out of it.

Just buy component cables. SO many people go wrong by using the standard composite cables on an HDTV.
