was wondering, saw somewhere and cant seem to find it again, it was a page showing u how to softmod via ar max, codebreaker, and gameshark..since i dont buy online and can only get the gameshark in my area, can u show me a tut. or link on how to softmod via gameshark?

lol you are lucky u met me)) cuz i just softmoded mine with gameshark)!!
folow this tutorial first and then i will give you more info after u finish reading it and doing step by step)

now you can go on with more instructions (only if u read the stuff from the link if not then go back and do what it says there!)

K now that u have done all those steps and now u have a ulaunchelf4.03
go ahead and insert your ps1 disc with your memory card. youll see the menu just like the one from the webseite that i gave you.
leave it alone and grab your flash drive and put it in your pc.
you should go on internet and find the FRMC 1.8 and download it but if you cant or too lazy then you go to this dudes video tut and u can download it from there lol.

put it now in you flashdrive and then remove it and insert in you ps2
using ulaunch you can go to the Filebrowser by pressing O.
Find something like mass or watever its called and it should boot you your flashdrive. from there start some file called bootelf (i dont remember the exact name) and the window with freemcboot will open. from there go to format your mc and then multiversion install. wait a sec or more) and there ya go you are done! good luck with your burned ps2 games!

thanx m8. just foun AR max and max media online for 20.00 usd. what i hear this is very rare.so ju,mping on it. going to get gameshark today cuase i cant wait for it to be shipped...

ok but if you want to buy ar max then you dont need gameshark 2 then... if you buy gameshark 2 you dont need ar max or anything else) why gameshark 2? cuz it has a menu for booting from the usb. but it is up to you... ar max is good too but i didnt try it. the only thing i know is that both gameshark2 and armax can boot the usb drive and this is where you can start the softmodding... good luck) if you have questions ask)

My Usb stick doesnt show up on the memory manager for gameshark 2 v1.1, sometimes under source it says no device or is blank. It is a sandisk cruzer micro usb 256 mb FAT. All i have on it is the your systemconfiguration.ps2 file on it. I have tried putting in the usb while on the menu and waiting for a couple of seconds or putting the usb in on the loading screen but it wont show up on the memory manager.

i also tried FAT32 and my ps2 is a regular non-modded fat/chubby no hard drives attached ps2 and its scph 30001 R
