Question About My Ps2 Hard Drive

So I am wondering if there is any way that I can use my PS2 as an external hard drive for my computer, it has a 100 gig hard drive in it and I would love to be able to back up my computer files to it while I reformat the computer. i have an Ethernet cable connection on the back of it and also it has the usb spot in the front. it is a one of the fat PS2's. i can not connect the Hard drive directly to my computer because the computer has different type of plugs in it. Any help would be awesome, thanks so much in advance.

It would be terribly slow...around 2MBPS at best.

i do not care how slow it is i just need to be able to back up my files so that I can format the comp. i have been looking around and so far can not find a way to do it

It will take a year to do...you can burn DVDs much faster, even an old USB 1.1 hard drive would be faster. If you realy must use the hard drive in your PS2 as a backup, then pull it out of the PS2 and install it in the PC. You shouldn't have to format it or anything.

It sucks because my PS2 uses IDE and my comp uses sata so the connections are different. Anyway I found a few 16 gig usb sticks and burned a few DVDs and got it all backed up and changed. Thanks a lot for all your input :)

Look Again My HDD Uses Sata Too But My Dvd Burners Use IDE
