I have put the November 6th Firmware on and these are the problems that I am having.
01. The EPG is still pants..
02. I was watching last night and started getting the slot in and out error again. This happened 3 times while watching the Hayes v Valuev fight.I had to physically turn off the unit to get rid of the error.
03. Still having loads of lockups as well

did ya factory reset after the flash? and then re-scan.

I did factory reset and rescanned as soon as i loaded the firmware but i am not having the same problem with freezing.

Yes I did everything as instructed on the above posts
The missus was watching Hallmark today and it locked up twice again

Just took the missus to work and I left the box on S*y S***ts 3..
Came back just over 20 mins later and the picture was frozen

as the firmware is beta it prob still has bugs, I would go back to the other firmware for the meantime if that wasnt giving ya the same probs as the new one

Hi Guys,
Until yesterday I too was using the 'EX1100 Sept25th Beta Firmware' and the EPG was poor, only updating when you were on the particular channel you had the EPG open on.
Yesterday I did a factory reset and updated to the 'EX1100USB_091106_epg_test' and whilst it did seem the EPG updated a little faster, sometimes, you still have to be on the particular channel you wanted updating with the EPG open for it to update. Also with this version after about 5 minutes my box started flashing 'SLOT 0 CARD IN - SLOT 0 CARD OUT' and it kept coming up shortly after powering the box off and back on.
So I went back to the 'EX1100 Sept25th Beta Firmware' and for information I just updated via USB over the top of the new version and it worked fine, no more 'SLOT 0 CARD IN - SLOT 0 CARD OUT'

Hi i put the 6th of november firmware on my box on saturday and it was working fine (except for the epg problem) then yesterday i started to get the "slot o card in slot 0 card out" problem. i had to turn the box of at the wall then it was ok till 10 minutes ago when it started again but also now its freezing. anyone know when this is gonna get sorted.
also there's something new on the bigmaq toolbar for the ex110usb called EX1100USB_UPG_TOOLS.zip. could someone please let me know what this is for.

someone please help. i have the eurovox ex110usb and i've tried all the firmware's i know off but i'm still getting the "slot 0 card in, slot 0 card out" problem. it seems to be ok during the evening but then starts during the day. also sometimes the picture freezes but sometimes it doesn't. any advice (except smash box up with a hammer) would be very helpful, as i'm at my wits end.

I too had the slot 0 card in/out problem and tried everything to get rid of it,including the new firmware,but to no avail,then I read a post from someone which said that it had something to do with the box being on standby another theory was that it had to do with the scart connection.Anyway I was at my wits end and stopped putting the box into standby mode at any time,3 days later and,touch wood,no more slot 0 card in/out problem.It may be sheer coincidence but it didn't hurt to try it and I'm glad I did otherwise my brand new box would've been smashed into tiny bits by now

Tried that and still doesnt work
Every so often still getting the slot 0 card in / out problem

me too. i never put my box on standby any way. but i have noticed it only seems to do the "slot 0 card " thing at the same time(dinner time) everyday after turning box of at the wall a few times its ok for the rest of the day

Can anyone tell me if you there is a facility on the box that allows you to flash box to box, instead of using the usb stick. I would appreciate it if anyone could give me instructions on how you do this. Just as you coulkd on the sl 1000 version.

Hi Hustler,
That's a good question. Guess I'm used to old fashioned methods.
doing box to box using rs232 cables is what I've been used to when I had other cable boxes. Do you know how to excess the emulator, if there is one to excess???

I know to absolutly none on this box..
Maybe someone else know any different
As far as I know I would say there isnt but I may be wrong

Does anyone know where i can find the original firmware for this box? I'm returning it and need to have the original firmware. I flashed with the newest firmware and never backed up the original.
As i'm sending it bac, it needs to have the firmware it came with or i doubt i'll get my refund. The shop have already agreed to a full refund if its in resaleable condition. Which it is except for the modified firmware.

the prob with FTA firmware that comes on boxs is ya cant take them off em, well none I seen to far,

Mickah. Im not actually looking to get rid of the firmware. I'm just wondering if i send the box back will they know i used a hacked firmware on it?
And if they would, how would i get the original firmware back on to it.

Hi all newbie here, been a reader for a long time though.
Just got myself EX1100USB, did have EX1000, never had any problems with it.
Cant see anywhere where it says what latest version firmware is for the EX1100.
I have freezing channels,My codes are:
Bootloader 0.1.0
Maincode 1.0.0
Default DD 1.1.0
User DB 1.0.0
