Another update for you all...
Since I said I had the slot in / out error earlier on in the week it seems now to have dissapeared and all is working fine again..
Weird Sh*t or what??
Touch wood no lockup either but the epg is still showing programs for 3 or 4 days back and doesnt seem to update when the box has been turned off and on..
Looking forward the the final firmware real soon
Thanks

There is new firmware dated 17th December that you could try, it's on Bigmaq toolbar, it has also been renamed to 23rd December and posted on this forum, but it's the same file.

This is the latest patch for the usb 1100 for the epg fix
has been redated as this should have been done on the patching.
Please leave some feed back on this if possible

Quite unlikely if at all for the forseeable future.
The only options at this time will be Sat CS, although it's likely Cable CS will rear it's head eventually.

This firmware works perfectly at last! This now makes my EX1100USB easily the best receiver I've had yet.
Top respect goes to whoever sorted this out as he is for sure a legend!

Well I'm afraid none of us can do much about that. No point dwelling on what might be - enjoy it whilst it lasts and worry about the future when it happens!

Firmware still locks the picture occasionally and the epg is a lot better but still has issues with updating etc...
Tried it on 3 different 1100 units and same on all of em..

Did you factory reset after loading the firmware and what network are you on. It's perfect for me on Pure NTL.

I'm in an NTL area and I have to say with the latest firmware my pictute has frozen once which only needed the channel changing up one then back to unfreeze it, but that's all in about a week.
I also noticed today that swapping favorites from 'Entertainment' to 'Factual' that the 'Factual' channels EPG weren't all refreshed but they litterally all updated within seconds of switching to it - and I had turnded the receiver off at the mains overnight prior to this.

got to agree with the telepest correspondence. Each of the
bouquets of favourites has lazy channels that don't keep up to speed.
However to be fair, when accessing the epg all the programme info is
there. Still much improved and grateful to all the effort being
put in by everyone. Happy new year to all.

Since ive put the latest firmware upgrade on the sound quality is terrible...
You can watch something for sometime and then the sound will just go all funny like when you get a blocky picture where the signal isnt strong enough and it breaks up..
Its not all the while but is most of the time...
Ive put the 1st firmware on from the beginning of December and the sound is now perfect but the epg is pants..
