I have a Kryptview 750 box, fully up to date software etc. BBC1 and 2 went the other night and now UTV and Channel 4 are gone too. I've tried factory reset, unplugging the splitter, deleting all channels. Nothing seems to get them back.
I'm on Ch*rus cable in Limerick btw.
Press 6001 with your remote on BBC1, Then info. If the 1801 stream is still showing they are still running on Nagra 2. If not its game over.
I did that and got a key table. Lots of numbers. In descending order......0601, 003E, 04B1, CasType, 1802, 1800, 1801, 1802.
What ya have there is 3 streams, N1, N2 and N3, see gavos post above, its a prob with the provider

I'm not so sure MICKAH. I have the cable slit and the official Ch*rus box is decoding them all fine. The Kryptview isn't though. It's a puzzling one.

the same with some folk in cork, missing the same chans as you on a SV4 box, did you see Gavos post? He rang them, they are having a prob with the chans on their own boxs also, so seems the issue is lying with them,
from your info on the stream, N2 is still there as is N1 and also N3, so your box is gettng a N2 stream, i would highly doubt its the firmware on the krypt as the SV4 is the same, i think its more to do with chorus themselves

In descending order......0601, 003E, 04B1, CasType, 1802, 1800, 1801, 1802. If this is right then they are running only on the N3 stream. The 1802 after Castype is the crucial one there. The last 3 dont matter. If they were on N2 it would have 1801 under castype.
Maybe they switched them to N3 by accident, that would explain them not knowing anythin about it.

as gavo says, its happening on their own boxs, so I would wait to see if they fix it,
As above, if they have done that, then it would explain why their own boxs are having probs, as, if they havent rolled out the cards, they will be missing on those boxs also

That means all 3 streams are available, which points to it being a problem at chorus.

Wrong again!
It is 1802 after CasType for sure. I was on the wrong channel. Apologies for the confusion. Damned Krypt remote is rubbish.

That means all 3 streams are defined but say nothing about if the N1 and N2 streams are empty or not.
Filtering stream content would be one method to switch off area wise.

Did all previous N2 fixes (ie.ntl irel) not have the keys hard coded(not autoupdateable)?
PLEASE DONT PM ME FOR KEYS!

it seems by what Gavo said in his post that they "dont know" whats happened but judging from the other posts they are now on N3, but its effecting their own boxs also and also whay Byrne said in his post, they may have done it by error if they are advising customers that they are looking into it

Yes cathal hard coded, digivox XL have come out with firmware which you can enter into the CAS menu to change them manually

Not that it will matter, as you will NOT be able to manually enter codes for N2 or N3 anyway, that was done purely for the Uk market as they are still on N1 at the present time.

I found a rather "Heath Robinson" short term cure.
I've left the Krypt running, but took out the coax feeb from it and put that back into the tv itself directly. Tuned in about 12 channels the old fashioned way.
It's a bit of a pain plumbing and replumbing the feed, but I have BBC1 etc. back.

Just an update on my previous post.
Now missing 19 channels from the Chor*s boxes, they sent a stronger signal last night and it didnt do anything. The genius from their customer service asked if the cables were in correctly or if they were damaged....
Theyre sending someone to the house tomorrow to check it out so hopefully i can post back with a reason why all these channels disappeared
