Yea but if they just keep changing the freq, a few press's of buttons on the remote to scan for the new freq and bob's your uncle, back in action
Depends which box you're using, + if you know as much as you think you
know conventional transponder freqs. are spaced in steps of 8 or
multiples of 8. Start power-scan at 290Mhz to 600Mhz you will pick up
12 T.P.'s.You then have to manually add T.P.150Mhz + manual scan.
If you power-scan from 150Mhz you pick up T.P.150Mhz only.
150+8+8+8+8 etc. falls on 286 294 302 etc.,scan will miss all active T.P.'s.
2nd OPTION; DEEP SCAN goes in single steps all thru, but will have many duplicated, necessitating the 70yr old gadget wizard to scroll
thru list + delete unwanted chls.
3rd OPTION; (recommended for O.A.P.'s)
Go to user installation, pin no.0000 or try 19**(last time dublin won
all-Ireland). Manually enter values for 13 T.P.'s +manual scan each.
When c/plete(if you're still alive) go to ch.edit + arrange all 8 fav
groups, using colour prompts on screen, don't forget to hit fav key
to change cat title of colour prompts. If you can't manage it ask tutor at active retired comp.class next week.
If you(guitar 57) find this post "off key", you may edit & re-post.
I'm sure Mickah would read thru it for you to make sure all i's are
dotted + t's are crossed. Sometimes you MENSA members with I.Q.'s of
10,000 suffer with illiteracy problems. Talk to you later.

Easiest way is to d/load VOXER + use it to edit cdf file
The DnUpman edit function on EUROVOX loader died with 05/12/08 fix
but voxer is very similiar.

Howyu steve,
If you are using aeriel you must be on N*L mmds signal.
max-v won't pick up Chorus-T signal, you'd need Eurovox-TX or similiar
Maybe i'm speaking outside my remit as i haven't kept track of recent
transmission changes by UPC(cho*us/n*l)in areas fringeing dublin.
You might post back + let us know more details, such as;
Did you always use max-V in your area
Are you on cable system or using aeriel
After power scan how many chls. are on list
How many of these chls. are clearing
+Most important, what did you have for breakfast???????????????

Forgot to add, Stevie
MENU--USER INSTALLATION--BLUE(power-scan)
Scan from 200Mhz to 600Mhz
Sym rate 6887
Step 8
If scan finds no transponders,Re-scan using Sym rate 6875.
Make sure cable is in R.F.in + if using aeriel P-supply is plugged in

Apologies for quoting myself, but hopefully it will make things easier for others who are searching for the same answer. Thanks to the other posters (MICKAH, etc) part of my question was answered, if you want to edit an existing CDF, then this Voxer program works like a charm.
Thanks,

Please help, I really am clueless!!
When I hit the download button of the UFL I get a pop up box that flickers between COM 1 & COM 4. Followed the guide as best I can but totally lost now! I'm using a USB adaptor / Null modem cable from a laptop.

hi Eamo,
Just off hand as im not at home right now.
First of all i have always been using the Eurovox Max V 2008 Black Box. without any issues...
Well I had same problems as others when codes kept updating and i was manually putting them in....and then the new firmware fixed all that and now it autorolls all the time.
Im on Ch^rus
I have over 120 channels...no issues with any off them.
I have Chorus Cable....not NTHELL even though they are UPC now.
Im obviosuly using Ch^rus freq as NTHELL customers can no longer use the EUROVOX due to them changing Freq to Nagra 2 right ?
Cho^us customers still on Nagra 1 (or something like that. im not up to speed lately)
Yes i always used the same BOX as Eurovox Max V 2008 Black Box.
I dont need to do power scan, i have all my channels and sorted correctly...so no point chuning every thing in again...i just wanted to know if i could chune in 1 channel and add it to what ive got :)
I had my wheetabix :)
i know im already on Sym rate 6875...
ill try later thanks :)

Hi All
(Sorry for this long post, but i wanted to get all the details in)
I am having a problem with my eurovox max v (not a clone) and was wondering if someone could help.
I few days ago my box just stopped working (got an error saying something about do not reprogram this unit). There was no lighting at the front and it seemed dead. After reading around i found i could bring the box back to life by Jtagging it.
I successfully jtagged it and now the box powers up, the time displaying 12:00 and updating. When i switch it on however it says channel 0001 but there is no display on screen (everything is connected correctly).
So i figured i need to update the firmware. I have followed the steps at the start of this thread (using the null modem bought from maplin) the receiver is detected and it starts sending the firmware down, however it randomly gets stuck (i have been waiting over an hour but it never finishes) sometimes it gets to 64% sometimes 22%. The highest i have seen it get to is 77% but then it just stops and gets no further. I have gone through nearly every forum but i cant seem to find anyone with this problem.
Please help

I tried to flash brand new eurovox 5100 using USB to 9-pin lead.
After 2 unsucessful attempts I put away modern laptop + usb lead.
I plugged in an old windows 00 L/top +only 9-pin null modem lead.
This also works on D/top with 9-pin com-port. Give it a go.
Please help

Sorry to have upset you e45, but being a MEMBER you are not new to
forums. Surely you have noticed replies without quotes that have followed original querys with other posts sandwiched in between. It's
only my opinion, but replies which have quotes reader knows what's going on.
Imagine a sports quiz; Answer is--- h-t 1-0 + f-t 3-1
Now contestant; To win prize-- Tell me what the question was
I'm not the most observant person, but I haven't noticed any posts
lately from e45 helping out members. Maybe I just didn't see them.
If my visits to this forum are upsetting people like Mickah, who is
always on here helping people,I just go on other forums. No problem.
But if a come-day-go-day "member"?????? objects, I do have a problem.
