The Firmware still works for the UK but no one knows for how long, I don't think we will be following Ireland's route any time soon so its up to you if you want to buy another, that's the risk you have to take, with regards to which box, the krytpview is a good box and they did bring out the fix for N2 allot faster than the rest but I don't think that will be the case this time around so take your pick.

OK Hiteck
Sorry for being so dumb BUT i take it that if i install the firmware the box will automaticly update itself when codes are changed ? is that correct ? If so when would we have a problem in the future and why ?

they have moved freq thats all, rescan your box or do a search on here, and you will find the freq in other posts.

If its not a code change, and they change the encryption, thats when you will have the problem, the updated firmware will help the box roll the codes, but not new encryption.

Anyone has any idea if the encryption has changed between 8-9pm in telewest area (leeds north particularly). the signal just disappeared on eurovox pvr 5000 while watching and wouldn't pick up any channels apart from 5 standard channels... the broadband on the same line is working fine.

Thanks for confirming. I wondered what is going on and didn't think it would be a small problem. Have done full scan and factory reset but neither worked so thought forum might be good place to find out what is going.

Leeds is all back, done the scan again and works like a treat.

Anyone got the freq for BBC 1 and BBC2 on C****s in Limerick i did a full recan but missing some channels even though showing 13 transponders, thanks.

My box in Bristol is still working fine it seems, although I have commentary on nearly all movie channel from about 8pm, have checked friends boxes/channels and they seem to be the same? Is there any way of getting rid of the annoying talking man?

Hey guys..I have a eurovox 5000 and am in london..Have been having problems with most of the channels either totaly not working or freezing..I have tried to download the firmware that is found at the begining of the thread but its not made any difference.....
Anyone please know of updated firmware or a signal fix?....A few people I know in the are are having the same problem...........
We have tried using the interneet on the same cable that goes into the box and it seems to work fine..HELP PLEASE

yayamark. do a manual scan on 452000 & 460000mhz for Limk.That should see you OK.

yeh they left that till last before they cahnged to nag.2
to be honest im not sure if it is still on nag.1
