so why didnt the starview 6/7 show it? not arguing what your saying, I would have thought everything now is encrypted? so i could have got my sv1 out and watched it that way? I think your wrong but i'm open to your theory. Cheers
It was on the Starview 6/7 if you were on the right channel, you don't have to look too far through neutral forums to find many posts about people watching the fight on old boxes and on the Starviews as well. You could have watched it on your SV1

I don't know if it was a one-off or a regular occurrence for boxing, but the other forums are full of comments about the boxing being available on all boxes.

Yes all previous and current Models were showing this event.
As said above, have a look round neutral forums for info as many of the regular members on here have a vested interest in the KV so will always push towards them.
That?s fair enough but advise can sometimes be a little biased.
Overall, enjoy any of the products available.

Agreed. Some of the comments on this forum do seem heavily biased. As an owner of both boxes, I think the SV7 is streets ahead as far as service and consistency goes.
Regardless, SV7 went off for around 6 hours yesterday (2am-8am)and all fine since. KV does seem to be a lot more hit and miss but what do I know :)

I also have a kryp now and a starview b4, I would have thought the main issue was that starview now have a 1 year shelve life and kryps are indefinitely on the CS??

Simply put, dont fret too much...everything will be fine soon...The first batch of these boxes were introduced back in november 2009 when nag3 came knocking on your doorstep...since those that connected to the LAN back then have now discovered that their 12 months have now eclipsed....its just the laying off of the expired boxes from the server that has given the rest of us that have months left,a loss of channels over the past few days...it will be corrected, and in many cases has...pls be patient...
Well looks like Starview are now getting around to cut the first lot of Sv box off their servers.
Also they have a new box just about to be launched as well its the EUROVIEW HD MODEL this box will replace the old Sv combo Hd so looks like that will be dead in the water on the cable side as well the box is £1.00 short of £200.00 still a good saving even if it only lasts 12 mts over paying for a full sub as you can also see from the photos there is NO lan connector so must be another dongle to be attached to this box.

Channel 4 and ITV1 are not encrypted, if they are missing it is not a server issue, you either have a local outage or a signal problem.

so does that mean you have to pay for another broadband via dongle or can you use your exsisting broadband and if so how,and do you know if kryptview are bringing out a hd box
thanks in advance

as mentioned on another thread, but having got no reply. Is any kv users missing or have scrambled channels e.g the living channels, bravo, adult and maybe few others e.g. syfy etc. This happened before after the maintenance a couple of months ago. Did usual factory reset and scan on my net id. These channels were working before the weekend. Is this another server problem? e45.
