ugh devastated here in drogheda...i feel like my life is slowly slipping away...no tv3 or rte 2 :((((
by the way box t users...if you connect your tv n box with an aerial cable you can get analog channels bbc 1 and 2, itv and chan 4 tuned in on your tv. kinda handy. dunno if it will still work when N3 comes in but when the box needed a new code i was still able to get these channels...

Of the few channels that we have left right now does anyone have issues with the sound on them? I went away from my tv for a few hours, came back and the sound was gone on all channels. I rescaned and still no sound? Is it the same everywhere? ;-)

Tried it a few times, I'm afraid. I really want to watch "the silence" on bbc1 at 9. I think I might be watching it in silence. ;-(

The plan was to put up my other dish for the freesat channels today, but unfortunately the thunder and lightening put a stop to it today.

There was a tear in my eye when I finally unplugged the EVTX box & dusted down & reconnected the genuine sub box...

still got sound at the mo on the few channels thank god.
fabdeal - have you tried getting an aerial cable connection between the box and the tv and then just tuning the tv to get bbc 1? also gotta love the irony of watching the silence with no sound!

Is it worth buying an aerial? I mean will those few channels go as soon as the nag3 takes over completely? Or will they stay forever? In fairness I have my fta dish ready to put up and that'll give me enough channels for now ;-) Thanks guys for all of your help though, much appreciated. I'm watching the open on bbc2 and to be completely honest it doesn't need the sound, which is great ;-)

thats a good point. if the scart isn't pushed in right then it loses sound, happens on our bedroom tv often...

This happened me a while back, but only for some channels, not all. Rescanning didn't help untill I deleted the channels that had no sound and then the next scan got them back with the sound ok.
