mmm im thinking its now an ip conflict if 2 boxes are usning the same ip both boxes are cut off this was to stop clones from getting on the server

if your broadband provider does not allow p2p would that affect the box working??
also with imagine/irish b`b you have to put your your ip in manualy on some of there packages (ie:breeze)

im not to sure but if you change your ip it could be construde as the box ip been changed maybe im not 100% sure about ip but i do know they did put security measures in place so as 2 boxes could not use same ip.
P to P would have no bearing on it as its not 2 way traffic going to the box its going from server to box

e45,on rumps post he says the box was fine for two months.i presume the other starview 6 and dreambox were connected for this period aswell,but why after two months did one fail???

ok people im just going to ask this once so if you want your boxes sorted i need the serial numbers off the back of your boxes right so this is excatly what i need information wise.
THIS IS FOR THE PEOPLE HAVING THE CONNECTION PROBLEMS ONLY I WILL ONLY ASK ONCE AND PASS ON INFO FOR YOU.
Right info required BY PM only do not POST on the forum OK
1 Serial number from the back of the box
2 name of person to who owns the box
3 What box it is either combo or Sv6 lan
all pm will be answered by return
thats it so the rest is up to the people to send the pm i will leave this till tuesday after this your on your own

hi guys resob ponted me in the direction of this thread.....This thread is SOOO big i never looked...
ok this box was working fine for past 2 months! on firmware 101
Now get message saying not connected! (never changed firmware at this stage)
have box set to "istream" same message..
ALL channels are freshly tuned...
Tried reinstalling firmware...same result..
Tried FTA Firmware then firmware 101 and 103 (also tried 104 but this
firmware does not have the "net application" option i.e
where u turn on the "istream"....option, you also cannot access the emu from
"accessory" using the 8989 on firmware 104)
Box is picking router up no problem , and is working with other boxes (another sv6 is fine and Dreamboxs working fine on same router! same house)
I have also tried the box on differant networks i.e. UPCEE/Magnet same result
It seems tah there is some sort issue a brewing as with some guys here!

no prob at all glad i can help its not as if the boxes are cheap and i know they pay for themselves over the life of the box but not when ya only got it it dont :-)
