Hi Eamo, hows things, they dont have access to the other firmware, just the SV6/7 and what is going on here is sheer daylight robbery in my book, SV users have been fecked over for the last year or so with a crap product and service, without even the Irish debacle being brought into this, now they are being asked to pay for it again, money for old rope in my opinion, its being done in the open to, how long VM allow that to go one without taking action is another guess. This is get rid of the stockpile of boxs sitting about, over 17k of em, sell it cheap, sell the boxs, disappear..........

But other than that, I am grand buddy he he he he
That's the big concern, Mickah. When suppliers clear the warehouses of SV7 boxes are they going to buy in more SV7 boxes or move on to a diff earner. If the suppliers stop selling SV boxes will £25/6months per head be enough to keep server on the air. I would say between all big suppliers, Mickah, you could add a zero to your figure.

Well as far as I know they have stopped being produced and whats left is the last lot of em, of course when they dry up it will be a new model and more moolah to get on the merry go round, dont forget its been run by faceless people who hide behind a username, who can disapear at the flick of a switch, I am all for free enterprise, but not one that has made mugs of folks with bad service from start to finish for the last few years, you know yourself, a new box every 6 months or so, no support for older boxs, even when they could have easily implemented the same fix into the older firmwares, SV6/7 users in Ireland shafted, users in the uk barely got a proper viewing and now this, being asked to pay for what they should have got all along.... at least Dick turpin had the decency to wear a mask when robbing you,

If the boxes go back down after you paid the sub then I don't have any sympathy as nearly all regulars have warned over and over again. If you haven't paid the sub please do yourselves a favour and ditch sv in the same way they ditch everyone.Sv are muppets and greedy 1's at that, don't pay any SUBS and your boxes may come back for free or they ain't gonna shift the stockpile if nobody buys them.17000 units will generate more revenue to 500 £25 subs, think like the muppets it's just about the figures.

Any know if yourcablebox.co.uk is still around. The sv7 I bought six months ago is messaging this is an unregistered box, I was under the impression I should get 12 months before this might happen so I am trying to find out who it is that ran yourcablebox.co.uk. I guess they have probably disappeared off the planet as the website is down but if anybody knows anything it would be appreciated. Also I paid by paypal so do you think it might be worth trying a claim?

Nothing to do with the box its all down to the server, so if your box is unregistered you will have to pay to get your box working again, otherwise its blank tv for you.

Your box is still working as it was intended to as a FTA receiver so there is nothing wrong with your box, you are trying to receive subscription channels which you wont until you pay to get on to the server, did the supplier actually tell you that you would get 12 mts subscription free sky channels, i would very much doubt it as that would be illegal for him to say that, as it would be classed as fraud.

Your in the same boat as the rest, pay and display on the SV (as you now know they are shite) or cut your losses and get a Krypt, no subs on this.

Not sure why that would be

Are you able to try another pendrive? to find out if it's faulty

If you have just bought it free to air from a dealer and you are
unable to update it then I guess there is no reason why they would
not swap it for you.

It would have to be untouched though.

Just a quick question for folks that paid starview to get their boxes back on, now that you have paid them, what happens next, do they have a forum for you people to go to if the boxes go down, how is there support done, if you are paying for this now you should all know the answer to the question, if you dont you should have asked.

Also if they dont have a support site, is the members here and on other forums supposed to help, after all you are now paying for support, or will the support be still coming from the likes of this forum or others, my opinion is if you are paying for something then you are entitled to be getting it, otherwise what are you paying for, its says support, "lets see do the starview team live up to it which i very much doubt myself"
