XBOX no longer will load games

Hi --- the family's XBOX has gradually begun to fail loading games. It would load some games and not others, but has now got to the point where it won't load any games but gives the "does not recognize this disc....." message. It is almost 2yrs old and I'm thinking about cracking it open and taking some canned air and blowing the insides out. Do you think this will help? Other suggestions?

sounds like the dvd drive, you can pick one up on ebay.
Thompson is the cheapest, Ive seen them go for $25

Ma xbox wont load any of ma games...i just got madden 2005 and i'm tryin to play,,but ma xbox keeps sayin that it cant read it..it wont load no games,,,is there anyone wit sum advice or help i need it????

i dont get no error message it just wont load anything beyond the dashboard mine is around 8 months old and its been modded for i think 4 months any ideas?
