Right then i went to back up a dvd the other day, but the orignal disc is 7.5gig (whatever) which is too big to for on my standard 4.5(?)gig blank disc. How do i compress it on dvd shrink, as dvdxcopy did it for me automatically.

Many thanks

just had a look at this, but work is blocking the site.

I understand you can use the compression, but can you compress a 7.5gb right down to a 4.5 to fit on a normal blank media?

Yes, but I would suggest substituting still image for some of the extras and increasing compression on what's left so compression on the main movie is reduced thereby increasing quality.
