NERO BURN SPEED

I bought x8 dvd media but cant burn at x8. Nero 6 bundled and updated at their web site is my program. Dvd media is prodisc -R x8 but wont burn at that speed. My choices are x1, x2, x4, or maximum. Is nero capable of burning x8 medias or not? How about roxio 6?

Yes, Nero can burn at 8x, as well as 12x and 16x if the recorder and media support it.

But the Recorder will determine what speeds are supported based on the media inserted.

Check with the Recorder MFG and see if you have the latest firmware, and see what brand of 8x media they recommend using with their recorder.
