i have downloaded a film from morphus it is divx codex format (avi)
i whant to put it on a vcd it is 704*368 and 25 frames per sec. can i record this strait on to a disc? or does it need encoding first? when i try with nero it trys to encode it at a small size 3** by2**
surlly this will be worse quality.
the film looks great on pc.
if you need to encode it first what is the point of downloading such a big file when in fact you could just download two smaller files? surlly it must be better full divx format.
please help i an well confused..
thanks dug

You won't get the quality of divx using vcd/svcd and still make it fit on a single CD.
I hate titles

dug: That's why you should backup your DVDs by yourself and not to download stuff from the Net ;-) SVCD format offers excellent quality that almost compares to DVD, but one average-length movie takes appx. 3 CDs -- but the advantage over DivX movies is the fact that SVCDs can be played with DVD players, DivXs cant.
