I found out why i was having problems finalising my backups

It was because i was using dvd +'s.

I chamnged to dvd -'s and the backups work fine everytime. My Burner is a pioneer 106D, is this a normal occurnace for all pioneers?

My A07 burns both +R/-R, not sure if it's a model problem or what.

it must be, my mate has the same burner, but cannot burn +'s either

The Pioneer 106D is a dual format burner - it should be able to handle both - and + media.

I have this model and while I generally use - media, I have had no problems in the dozen or so times I have used + media.

Suggest probs may be related to the 'brand' of media you were using.
