Anytime i use dvdshrink with Blade: Platinum Edition it always stops at 68% with a error. When it gets to 67% it slows down and at 68% i hear grinding sounds and than a error.

It's a good movie. ;)

Sounds like you have a bad disc. It probably has a flaw or scratch on the disc.

i cleaned it afew times and it stops at the same spot, im kinda leaning towards some type of anti copy scheme on the disk.

I would suggest Micigan's advice is correct - there are no new anti copy schemes and Blade is quite copyable.

I backed up the same movie with no problems. I have in th epast had discs that would give a CRC error and if you look close at the disc you can see what almost loks like a watermark on the disc. CRC errors are almost always a damaged or defective disc. If it is new return it to the store, if thats not possible rent it and copy it (you have an original)
