AVI to MV2 Blank frame problem

Hi,

I've just started writing my own dvd's. curently using tmpgenc plus to convert avi and then compiling dvd in tmpgenc dvd author.

the problem I have is when converting the avi I end up getting lots (AND I MEAN ABOUT 60% OF MY FILE) being blank frames. the entire avi is within the first 40% the after that nothing but blank frames.

I then have to cut these out in the author tool.

What is going on. i'm at a total loss. it means that my conversion time is about triple what it should be.

any help please.
