just curious and kind of a dumb question but, the first 7% of encoding a movie the decryption status said no encryption then it went to C0:00:00:01:90 just wondering what it all meant?
Commercial dvd's contain encryption - called CSS.....
This is the key that a standalone/dvdrom need to decode in order to unlock the capability to read the information (like a password).....
Dvd dvdcrypter reads this key, and removes it, therefore leaving you with pure data and NO encryption (known as ripping)...........
If DVD Decrypter displays - no key, then it is saying that it has not found a key to decrypt and therefore just carries on ripping.....
However if it hangs at this point, what it is saying is that it cannot obtain the key...........usually down to a corrupt disc or just dirty...........
