ok, ive already burnt 1 dvd using the method of ripping with dvd shrink (burning it as an ISO) to a folder on my desktop designated for this purpose. And this process goess alright but when i goto burn it in decrypter it always messes up my dvds - for instance i got about halfway through a dvd and it got all choppy then just froze.... i have no idea what the problem is b/c i burnt 1 with this method and it plays perfect but now its even worse b/c im getting this error 10% through the burning process:

its an "I/O error"

Hi m3tr0. :)

What media are you using?
What speed are you burning at?
What is the brand/model of your burner?
Is it internal or external?
Has your hard-drive recently been defragmented?
.... ;)

I'd suggest you try at 4x or even 2x.

I'm wondering what your CPU speed is too.

Have you tried wiping Decrypter off your computer and putting it back on.Sometimes that works.

I've had the same problem once, so Just wondering if it is your problem too.

Best regards,

David.

Hi m3tr0
You may find your problem is the media. According to this site Memorex -R media (media code CMC) ranks in fourth place.
See http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

I don't believe that CMC produces 8x media yet. As ddlooping says I would burn at 4x or 2x and with a file no bigger than 4.2g. Also make sure Burn-Proof is enabled

I hope this helps
