Just wondering, but has anyone had an I/O error when burning using decrypter. I have had this type of error twice, once at disc write completion 99% and once at 100%. The thing is, there seem to no adverse affects on the discs due to the error.
What media are you using?
What speed are you burning at?
What is the brand/model of your burner?
Is it internal or external?
Has your hard-drive recently been defragmented?
.... ;)
Im using: TDK TTGO2
Burning at 4X
Optorite DD0405
Its an internal burner
I havent defragmented my PC cause its only 2 months old.
btw, this error has only occured twice out of around 70 discs, and since the error didn't seem to do anything bad, i didn't bother trying to burn the two discs (which were separate incidents/ different discs) again.
you get an error like that when you burn to the very edge of the disk. after you click backup, go to preferences change the target dvd size to custom then set it to 4300-4200 mb range just to make absolutly sure you don;t burn to the edge follow this guide it always works http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/102745
the source dvd was single layered, so I wasn't using shrink at all, although the file size was around 4.6gigs, so slowing the write speed will probably help :)
btw, what is it actually doing when it is writing a "lead out"?
Cheers for all of your help so far...I forgot to say thanks in my previous posts
