hi guys

i know this may sound dumb!! :)

i need help in trying to burn a region 1 disc

first off i needed to change my dvd settings from r2 to r1 to encode the disc and back it up to my HD.

but when i did burn it to disc and tried to play it in my dvd player it would not play as it was not pal format.

so what i need to know is can i copy a r1 disc and brun it as a r2 disc??

Hi Nu330ci

It would be better to rip and set it region free then can be played on any machine

Is the disc in PAL or NTSC. Being Region 1 I suspect it is NTSC and will need to be converted to PAL.

As I have limited knowledge and experience someone else in the forum will need to advise.

it is a NTSC disc!

so i encode it as r1 and then covert it to r2 and burn to disc from there??

If you encode it as region free you can play that bad boy anywhere, I make all mine region free.
