Trying to burn onto a DVD-R and Nero tells me that it requires a CD-R/RW and keeps spitting out my DVD-R. Been searching on this and came up with nothing. Please help me.

Doyou haave the trial version or the full version? If you have the full version in the upper right hand corner did you select the DVD drop down tab?
