I have a disk that had WS & 4:3 versions on it ...
I told it to use STILL IMAGE for the 4:3 version ... and NO COMPRESSION for EVERYTHING else.

Why is DVD Shrink running the Analysis when I backup?
Normally, if a disk is under 4.7G, it just rips it .. No analysis.

And, before you ask .. I am sure that everything is NO COMPRESSION and that it is WELL UNDER 4.7Gigs.

I did a re-rip of the disk .. and this time it blacked out the DEEP ANALYSIS checkbox ... but the SMOOTHing checkbox was still enabled ???

drosoph I think you´re trying to back up a seamless branching movie, you need a different tool to remove the 4:3 version , like IFOEdit or DVDremake.
The checkbox is not selected because Shrink "remembers"a previous deep analysis of the movie.

Hi there,

When a DVD is less then 4.3 Gb, I just make an .ISO using DVD Decrypter, then burn with Nero.

This way, you get a 100% quality .ISO file.
I'm sure DVD Shrink should do it, but using DVD Decrypter I'm 100% sure :)

My 2 cents worth.

You don´t need Nero, just decrypter. (ISO mode write)

I've noticed that Shrink still likes to treat the extras as if they were still there even though they don't show up in the final product. I don't know why but it does.

My killer sig came courtesy of bb "El Jefe" mayo.
