How to identify cd-r's?

When I looked for a program to i.d. cd-r's manufacturer and other info, I found CD Identifier v. 1.63. When I click on the icon to start the program, my computer restarts every time. G&M's website says cd-r Identifier is no longer supported. I'm running XP Home. Are there any other programs that do for cd-r's what DVD Identifier does for dvd-r's?

well there is a program that comes with Nero called Nero InfoTool and it will tell you the cd info and your roms info and also try Nero CD-DVD Speed and Nero DriveSpeed to see but only with the Nero update
