Hello I currently have the following equipment
ModChip: Magic 3.2 Installed
Burning programs DVD Decrypter, Alcohol 120
Burner: Ben Q DVR-R DVr+R 8x
MEDIA TDK 4.7GB DVD-r
and A PS2 ( I beleive is a version 7) Sph 39001

Now here is the problem the mod is installed correctly because I played one of my buddies back ups on it. However when ever I try to rip and backup games my newly created backup never works in my PS2 I follwed the PS2 newbie instruction perfectly however nothing seemed to work. Is there something wrong with my setup? Do I have the wrong equipment? Right now I'm trying every configuration imagineable and right now I'm getting nothing but coasters
Please help!

Does you buddy use the same dvd disk and burner...one of those might be your problem..maybe disk...

I just use Nero.
Click on "copy disc" and burn at 1x.
It does it all for you. -> if you have an .iso image or whatever then instead of copy disc click on " Burn image to Disc"

Thanks Guy I finnally got it to work. I found out that my modchips was not compatible to my PS2
