Hi, i have converted the avis to mpeg using tmpgenc, and the sound was fine in the converted files. Used tmpgenc dvd authoring software to create the VIDEO_TS folder, burned it to dvd with nero.

played it in WMP, everything fine, menus etc, but NO SOUND!?? i have played an original dvd with WMP and that worked fine btw.

Any ideas as to what the problem is?

no worries, it is WMP, cos it worked in powerdvd
