I have succesfully backed up my Star Ocean 3: Till The End of Time and i am using Swap Magic. Now the game loads fine and everything and the intro movie works and all BUT when i try to load from a saved point or start a new game..... It just stops there. It sits at a black screen and i can hear the ps2 trying to load it but it still just sits there at a black screen.
Has anyone got this game to work???? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello. Im having the same problem with Star Ocean 3. I did every thing as sly did, but instead burned at 4x. This is anoying, as I really want to play this. Also, is it 1 dvd, or 2? BTW, a Link to the dvdloader would be nice.

Well, here is a link (probably won't help anyways): http://www.consolemaniac.com/en-us/pg_22.html
It is 2 dvd's. If you have any BIG original ps2 games like gta, you could try using that instead of the swap magic dvd to refresh the toc.

Well, the games I own are Metal Gear Solid 2, DDRMax 2, Driv3r, and ATV Offroad Fury 2. Also, I have no idea what TOC refreshing is. If you could point me in the direction of a thread that would be great! Thanx agian!

when you load dvd loader, you must hit eject and either put in the swap magic dvd or a big original ps2 game to refresh the toc (toc means table of contents, or size). dvd loader is really small, so you have to refresh with something else that is bigger than the backup you are trying to load.

Well I asked a question about this..
When you finish dvd 1 you might run into problems, unless it allows you to save the game and reboot next time with disc 2.
As you know like other square-enix titles like the ff series on ps1 them inparticular, you had to change discs in game before you were allowed to make a new save at the beginning of the next disc.

you save your game just before it asks for disc 2. you then restart your ps2 and load disc 2.

Sly, I knew that. I asked that ages ago. But the dude there says u just put disc 2 in when it asks.
Obviously if u can save ur game b4 u put disc 2 in it would work, but some require u to load disc 2 b4 u save. That is the question I asked ages ago, wether u save then load disc 2 or load disc 2 then save.
