I am a rookie and was wondering how to get a movie downloaded from the internet onto a DVD I can watch on my tv DVD player. Any help would be very appreciated!

mm if its a .mpeg ust burn it with Nero into a VCD or SVCD (make sure your dvd player can read those).. if its a .AVI then convert to VCD first... you may want to split it into 2 smaller files first using VirtualDub (just google for it) and then convert them to VCD with any of the many applications (google for AVI to VCD)...

how do I find out what my dvd player will read? I will try these and see what i can do. Thanks!

Try reading the manual. It should list all compatible formats :)
