Can ps2 games be backed up using "decrypter or shrink " and played on a playstation 2 without a mod chip?

1. use the ps2 forum
2. dvd decrypter works, dvd shrink is for movies ONLY
3. You still MUST have a mod chip or swap magic and a fliptop. there is NO way around this.

try to get a copy of swap magic with a slid card. its probably the easiest and cheapest way to play ur back ups. i brought mine off ebay.
