Memorex 8x Media code 'CMC MAG. AE1'??

I just picked up a few spindles this past weekend from Futureshop. They were Memorex 8x dvd-r. After finding the media code, I was perplexed because I've never heard of the them before. I know all about CMC, but what's with the additional information on it? 'MAG. AE1'?

I'm debating on returning these for different media.

My biggest concern is longetivity of the discs. My previous experience with CMC media hasn't been all that great, so that's why I'm wondering what this media is suppose to be like. I've never heard of it.

That is the media code for CMC 8x DVD-R media.

CMC and CMC MAG are one and the same. I'd take them back and never buy Memorex again :)

Take em back. Believe me!!! I've tried Memorex. They come from 3 or 4 different manufacturers and the quality varies greatly. One spindle may work great, the next,,, all coasters

I read on here, where somebody suggested to use them for target practice,but they arent even good for that, since they already have a hole in them. :)
