When I backup a movie, the files are saved to a folder I created on the desktop. Is there a way I can make a 2nd backup without going through the encoding again? The burning only takes about 15 minutes, but the encoding takes 45-60 minutes. Thanks!

just burn the files with Nero.

I know this sounds stupid, but how? We tried just dragging the files into Nero as a new compilation, but disk wouldn't play.

make a dvd video. drag all the files into the video_ts folder on the left hand side.

An alternative is to rip the DVD to an ISO file instead (Choose "rip to ISO file" in the backup screen in DVD Shrink). You can then use the free "dvd decrypter" program to burn several backups from the same file. DVD Decrypter burns with good quality, I haven't had a single coaster yet.
