I used to be able to backup my dvd's on a normal dvd-r disc. My hardware is atapi dvd dual 8x4x12. But about a week ago every time i try to copy something it says please insert correct media (dvd-rw or dvd+rw). In Nero info tool its supported write features are dvd-r dvd+r dvd+rw and dvd-rw but when i try to copy something it will not accept my normal dvd-r discs!! How can i change this back so i am able to use dvd-r because the other discs are expensive. PLEASE HELP!! All it says in the log file is: 1502-4320-1249-0782-2967-6975

1st thing to try is go into your device manager and remove your burner drive from the list. Then reboot and let Windows reinstall the drive properly. This corrects problems in about 75% of the time.
