How long does it take you guys to fully decode and burn... takes me around an hour each time. I always do a deep analysis anytime it needs to compress more then 70 %... is this necessary..

please post your rip and burn times

As you know, it depends on the size of the movie.
If it doesn't need much compression I can do it in about 16 to 18 minutes. That's shrinking and then burning at 8xspeed.

Without deep analysis and burning at 4x, I'm usually in the balpark of 45 minutes. This varies movie to movie though. Deep analysis adds an average of 20-35 minutes onto that.

25-30 minutes Encoding Time without a Deep Analysis
Add another 20-30 minutes depending on compression rate. Then 25-20 minutes burn time when burning at 2x. I could do 4x but always burn slow to get a better quality and less coasters.

So basically about an hour for the whole process if not using a deep analysis and up to an hour and a half if using the deep analysis option

I always use the deep analysis if compression is below 90%

You also want to include:

1) Your system specs
2) whether your doing a DVD-9 or a dvd-5
3) The settings your using in Shrink 3.2

For me.

Doing a DVD-9, using only deep analysis (no Quality Enhancements) ... Start to finish is around 40-45 min. burning at 4x.
