I've noticed that the very first time i played to back up of some game. The ps2 will make a lot of scratchy noises. Will this harm the ps2 in anyway? But sometimes later, the scratching decreases, like on my back up of hot shot golf fore.

Is this normal for a dvd back up? Does those hight quality DVD-R's have this problem too and Mitsui?

Most backup DVD's will read louder than a normal ps2 DVD. The noise isn't anything to worry about unless you have put a label on the DVD. DVD's don't work very well in players if they have a stomped label. The label throws it off balance. The players work a little harder when reading a DVD-R or DVD+R.
