Error -864 means that the ID you patched the game with is incorrect. What game did you get the ID from, it has to be the original copy.

--Thanks everyone esp. Sly for all the infos.--
So Resident Evil: Outbreak and ESPN NBA 2K5 and NBA Live 2005 will all work online if you own the original[for the ID] and patch it correctly? Will most game backups work online? Check my sig for what I use... Thanks!

I use WinDIP v1.7 to patch my games. That may be the patcher you linked to Sly, not sure.
-----
My Steps:
-Read the DVD game to harddrive [DVD Decrypter @4X]
-Patch the created image (.iso/.mds) file [WinDIP]
-Write the patched image (.mds) to quality DVD [DVD Decrypter @2.4X]

[The WinDIP "Region" field is filled AUTOmatically.]

Has anyone successfully loaded at least ONE of these patched games and played online with the newest, slim model PS2, SCPH-70012?

Ok...i just want a definitive answer to this question. Is it true that any one disc ID number can be used to patch multiple online games?

Also does it matter if you use a DVD games ID number to patch online CD games(if they exist) or vice versa?

Sorry, I'm not sure. I believe you have to have EXACT disc ID from the retail game, which would mean NO you cannot. Anybody else have some more help here?

Yes you can use different game ids. You need to scan the file with WINDIP 1.7. It will tell you what patch code you will need. Their are about 8 universal patch codes that will work on any & every game.

The only problem I am having with regards to going ONLINE with my back up is the ESPN NBA 2K5. I have patched over 20 games and never had a single problem. I am now having problems with this. I tried burning it several time but get an 864 error. Yes I use Princos and will continue to use them as I have never had any problems until now. I have successfully patched THUG 2 and FIFA 2005. I don't know why this game is giving me troubles. I would appreciate it if someone can post the patch id for ESPN NBA 2K5
